In October 2025 I visited places I hadn't been in a while,
and got inspired!

Indian ocean swims, swahili food, amazing lodges and camps to stay at. Lots of wildlife and landscapes for us to experience on this very special Safari.

Welcome!

The Safari
6 nights SWAHILI COAST!

Mnarani Beach Club Kilifi
Temple Point Watamu

We start with chilling down at the coast. Good food, walks, swims, boat excursions with or without snorkeling. or just hang out by the infinty pool overlooking the sea, and stroll down to the hidden beach and bar. Above is our first destination in a nutshell. Mnarani Beach Club in Kilifi. Read your book, have a drink. OR you just chill by the pool, take a walk, swim in the ocean and read your books. BUT Food is essential here. we will have B&B for a reason. It's nice to visit other restaurant, and things that are not on the fullboard menu (usually restricted) The plan is to really dig in on Swahili coast kitchen.

After 3 nights here we go north a bit to the small community of Watamu. Temple point is situated, well, next to a temple ruin at the souhern end of the peninsula between the lagoon and the sea. With a large pool, the bar overlooking a hidden beach just for the lodge we are in a good place. From here I have a couple of foodie-excursions on my mind for the lunches! Dinner we will do at the lodge that has the most beautiful bar!

We are not far from Malindi here, from where we do the short jump to Nairobi to star our safari in Great Rift Valley and the wilderness areas north of Mount Kenya at the finale.

This is a very special one. For 25 years I have designed network-tours for friends and business associates.
The safari starts with a visit to the Great rift Valley. Here we will explore on land and water. A lake, and island-experience. Amazing birdlife! After a couple of nights here, as a warm up, We travel North in the Rift Valley through Nakuru National Park, with possible Rhino encounters and much more. Up via Maili Saba. The second largest caldera in Africa.
Then, at the next stage of the safari, we travel into Elephantland! The Elephant Bedrooms lodge is very much connected with the surrounding villages where the Samburu tribes lives out of the land, that is one of the most elephant dense places on the planet. Samburu River is with us for a couple of days when we roam nearby Buffalo Springs reserve as well as the Samburu plains and bushlands. Last night at Sarova, where the hotsprings flows through the lodge, and you can get a nice fish-foot-massage for free in the stream. All set for the long flight coming up the next evening.
We have fullboard at the safari except for the Wildbeest camp, Where I have a booking at really nice restaurant for dinner.
